Re: What Are You Doing Today? January 2012 edition
Really cold here this morning, but beautiful blue skies as far as the eye can see.
Haven't done much this morning, except having some lovely warming porridge for breakfast.
I have some washing to do, and debating whether to make some banana bread.

I am quite late in discovering porridge, only trying it last year since childhood and finding out I actually like it!
I added some raisins today, it was so lovely.

Back online after Broadband went down yesterday, so lots of catching up to do with online "stuff"
We may be having a celebratory meal tonight i things go well for DH (I will reveal all later ) So I am waiting for news from him at the minute.
Also waiting for 2 parcels, but have a feeling 1 wont arrive as the company have let me down so many times already.
TP - hope those antibiotics work for you.

It's warmer here today too, although I'd swap the warmer but damp weather of today for the cold but really sunny day we had yesterday, far nicer.
Just puttering at home today. My new quilting book arrived yesterday but I didn't really get chance to look at it so am having a look at that, maybe I'll cut some fabric up too. Other than that having a relaxing afternoon.

Been to Clarks village in Street today - and bought lots of new clothes for DH and a couple of things for me and household stuff. Oh, and lots of books and annuals for DD (99p each and buy one get one free!).
Then stopped at a farm shop on the way home and bought some lovely foody treats for tea.
Now putting my feet up for 5 minutes before unpacking all our new things.

Re: What Are You Doing Today? January 2012 edition
Sounds like a good day Pipling
I've been doing a bit of puttering around the house and plenty of quilting - just messing about with fabrics, cutting strips and mixing up some blocks. I'm now sitting with a cuppa watching the rain pour down. Dan is leaving work early today so maybe we'll drive to the beach and sit for a while.
Not that I want to wish my life away but I'm really looking forward to the weekend, can't wait to get started decorating the stairwell.

Been out on an appoinment this morning. Back now have read the free paper and had a coffee. On here for a bit and then the usual tidying, house jobs, then badminton tonight.
Tomorrow I am going to Hafords to see about a bulb for car headlight, looking for a new tv, buying a new washing up bowl. Always something to do, something to get phew! When does it stop.

Do you know what kind of tv you're after TP?
Today I have done the usual housework and have made another block for my new quilt.
Tomorrow we're going to collect Henry from the repair shop, return some books to the library, go to M&S for provisions and decorate the stairwell. Sunday we'll be relaxing, hopefully the weather will be ok so we can go for a wander on the beach.

We have a 32 inch Sony Bravia, it's really good. A couple of our friends have bought one after watching ours, nice clear picture and good sound.

Re: What Are You Doing Today? January 2012 edition
Another busy day today!
We went to Bristol Bluereef Aquarium this morning, it was fabulous and well worth a visit.
DD's favourites were the Octopus, Starfish and the "Nemo Fish"
Then DH treated us to lunch at a posh restaurant.
Now I am relaxing with my feet up whilst DD and DH put together a new highchair.
Not much planned for the weekend, we do have to pick up a bedside table that we have ordered though. But nothing else planned...yet!

Re: What Are You Doing Today? January 2012 edition
Did a bit of sewing this morning and mended a pair of gloves and a hat. Also sewed the reins back onto DDs hobby horse whilst I had the sewing box out.
Roast chicken dinner with potatoes, carrots, peas, roasted shallots, stuffing and gravy, currently being digested
Just need to finish clearing plates & cleaning the kitchen now.
We have made a start on the decluttering today and cleared/tidied one kitchen cupboard and made a start on our office/study room.

Also bought the cables to hook laptop to the screen so will hopefully be viewing the net on a large screen soon. We are going to get it all out later on and install it. Other than that normal housey stuff today.
