Last night we ended up having curried noodles, tonight I think we're going to have shepherdess pie with cauliflower and celeriac mash.

Kedgeree here, got some whoopsied smoked haddock when we did the shop and was hgoing to freeze it to do fishcakes at some point then suddenly thought of kedgeree and how I hadn't done it in ages.

I bought some smoked haddock a while ago, as I thought we hadn't had kedgeree for ages. Still not made it, but then I can't have the rice on Dukan. I could have the fish with a poached egg, couldn't I? that would be good.

Roast pork but not decided what I'm doing with it yet, whether to go with traditional roast pots and veg or more Italian country style polenta and tomatoey sauce.

Yum, not had polenta for ages. Although it's always tough to pick anything else when roast potatoes are an option!

That's why OH is not getting a say - he'd always pick roast pots (with everything no matter how suitable or not) in fact he'd probably pick roast pots to go with roast pots!!

Re: dinner plans for tonight?
Hmm, hub is having a Christmas dinner at work today (why do they do that? esp 7th December. ) so he won't want that much. He would rather have bread variants, rice or pasta than most types of potato. (It's not a dislike, just a preference. A big one! )
Have a small helping of something anonymous in the little freezer, so might thaw that out and see what it is!
Normally stuff gets labelled carefully, as I once made queen of puddings with garlic breadcrumbs. I was really puzzled, couldn't understand where the garlic 'odour' was coming from , as I didn't think I'd used any LOL!
Anyone else made daft mistakes? Or is that a whole new thread?

Re: dinner plans for tonight?
I have the steamer on using up some carrots, baby new potatoes and some sweetcorn. I was going to brave the wind earlier to pick some purple curly kale but it was too windy.
DH wants some battered cod with his so popped a piece from the freezer into the oven and for myself I've popped in some veggie sausages. I shall eat half tonight and use the rest for my lunch tomorrow before band practise

Yum.
I've got a sweet potato stew in the slowcooker so I think we're going to have that but you never know, maybe depends in what time Dan gets home.
