Smoky chickpea and butternut squash stew with bulghur wheat for us. Can't wait, smells really good, I cooked it in the slowcooker yesterday and it's been improving in the fridge overnight.

They all sound lovely. Not decided yet It's a toss up between carbonara and ham and pea risotto - I boiled and roasted a ham on Sunday so still using that up. I did pizza last night at OH's request and had a little experiment and made stuffed crust ones - worked really well and was yum. OH got a couple of leftover pieces in his pack up too.

Chicken Korma and rice. Based on Curry Queens recipe on MSE. I batch book the sauce and freeze so just defrost then add additional spices and chicken. It already made so kids just have to boil the rice.

oooh, that's the basic curry from "The Curry Secret" by Kris Dhillon - yummy. That's a really good book, there are loads of great recipes in there. Well worth the few quid to buy it.

It's a chicken curry night for us. Not a creamy curry as watching my calories intake but a chopped tomatoes base with lots of different spices in it. Turns out really nice. Oh drat forgot to do the onion bahjis!
My girls are having cauliflower cheese tonight. Don't noramlly do two meals but they won't touch he curry and I wouldn't blame them to be honest...... of I go to make the bahji's.

jim's cooking due to my hand. sophie was starving when she came home from gymnastics so she's had a sainsbury's economy pot noodle; 16p and actually FOOD!, plus a plum, some grapes and I think she's onto a banana now.
me and jim will be having spag bol made by him. smells nice! sophie hates spag bol anyway so it's worked out for all of us.

Re: dinner plans for tonight?
Sorry it was off Froogs Hope the curry sauce filled you anyway. We have had a homemade frozen ready meal of good old Spag Bol It had grated carrots and courgettes in it (conning DS1 with extra hidden veg) and was bloomin' lovely if I say so myself. Very glad of the no effort meal as I'm shattered from painting this morning lol.

We had sort of curry sauce too. WHen I did a chicken carcass with a lot of meat left on I froze the picked off meat in the stock. Today I made a white sauce with curry paste in it and added the chicken. Had it with plain rice and it wasn't that brilliant. Never mind, they get good stuff most of the time and at least I made a space in the freezer.
Just me and the boy for the next couple of nights.

Re: dinner plans for tonight?
No idea at all yet! But judging by the 16kg in the pantry it may well be something with pasta! Had homemade scotch eggs, chips and salad last night so it'd better be a bit healthier than that. I'll go and pick the veg box up when OH gets back from work so I'll have to see if what my chappy has put in gives me some inspiration.

What's everyone eating tonight?
We're having jambalaya. I'm hedging my bets with food and weather! One minute it's bright sunshine the next it's heavy rain or hail. So a spicy one pot seems sensible!
