Re: for the crafty amongst us
Oh and this weekend I'm going to start my new project - moss art for a horrible brick wall that could do with something to make it interesting!
Re: for the crafty amongst us
I have started my first patchwork and quilting project too alec. Making a red a white four square patch duvet cover for DD's bed at the moment, then I'm going to do a pinwheel design throw for our bed which will echo the colours in the screen printed hanging my parents got me for Christmas. I have also got some lovely black and white fabrics with a little bit of red to accent to do some sort of hanging but not sure of a design for that yet. Can you tell I got the bug? oops! I'm doing it entirely by hand and it is just so relaxing to sit in the evening with some hand sewing.

I'm doing mine by hand too, I get no enjoyment from using a sewing machine at all. Although when I start stitching the thing together I may change my views on that!

Finish a crochet throw in blue's made from recylced yarns.

How's the quilt going stiltwalker?
I'm just doing my final block for the small wall thing. Precision isn't my strong point so it should be fun making everything straight to stitch it together!

I've decided to knit up a hotwater bottle cover need to make 4. Tis all trail and error as I'm making it up as I go along. Once I have one done I'll write in down into my book then adapt the basic pattern for the next one.

Re: for the crafty amongst us
i made my daughter a knitted headband at christmas and since then the demand has been huge. im on number 7 at the moment.
ive also made two cushion covers for friends birthday presents.
im currently knitting our house a tea cosy (as i had a tea pot for christmas). also a large blanket for the lounge and a cardi for me.
i also have a tapestry on the go of a pheasant i love it but its very very slow going.
i inherited a sewing maching two years ago (from a lady who emigrated to cyprus) and only just set it up on the table to help my dd with a school project.
now im all inspired to sew but dont have a clue what to sew. ive got tones on material and thread but no ideas????
i love crafting xx

*insert evil laugh* I know things...
Not really, there's a thing at the bottom of the homepage that tells us who is having a birthday.
