dinner plans for tonight?

Curry mountain - I usually get completely carried away on curry night and make 2 curries, dahl, samosas, pakora, onion bahjji, homemade chappati and a couple of pickley dips might even make a stuffed paratha as it is our friend's birthday tea.

chicken and leek casserole, hoping to put 1/2 in freezer for another night.

our sausages and tomato pasta. Bananas and custard cheap pudding. Filling.

Leek and butterbean stew with roast celeriac tonight.

DH - Faggots, veg, mash and gravy. Me - Chicken, veg, mash and gravy (I don't like faggots!)

cornish pastys.

Tonight Roast rib of beef, yorkshire puds, Roast potatoes, Peas, Carrots and gravy.
Followed by New York style cheesecake.

We had macaroni cheese but DS had pasta twirls with his so he could get hold of it as penne or macaroni is just cruel at the moment as he get hold of it and it just shoots straight out of his hand!

yesterday we had our chicksticks marinated in garlic and butter and salad and some bread and butter. Apple pies and toffee ice cream for pud. Glass of wine.

Tonight - Marinated pork with savoury rice.

We had curry with bulghur last night and I think we're having pasta or pizza tonight.

We're having steak, jacket potatoes with the middle mixed with garlic and herbs cream cheese then put under the grill, sweetcorn, salad and a nice bottle of red. Exactly the same meal my OH cooked for our very first Valentines!

Tonight - Pork Goulash and herb dumplings

Romantic and yummy, my favourite combo! Well tonight it will be the distinctly more prosaic pizza for tea.

We're having nasi goreng. Nice and simple.

Tonight we had Pork steaks marinated in Ras el Hanout with vegetable cous cous

Tomorrow - Savoury (Mushroom, Cheese and Spinach) filled pancakes

Mmmmmmmm, I love Ras el Hanout.

Savoury pancakes but as my spinach was past it's best and there was not any in the freezer as I thought

We had made a courgette, mushroom, onion in homemade tomato and herb sauce instead.

We both ate 1 too many so no room for blueberry and icecream pancake now

We had home made fish and chips tonight.

Last night we had black eyed beans and sweet potato berbere with wraps. I think I'm going to make shepherdess pie tonight.

I'd better make something with meat in it tonight as I've made OH have veggie the last 2 nights. He much prefers meat and if I feed him to much green stuff he starts to get twitchy!

we have pork steaks marinated in pepper steak and chines not heard of ras el hanout whats its like? Do you do the marination yourself.

Ras el Hanout is a Moroccan spice blend. The ingredients vary depending but it contains stuff like cinnamon, nutmeg, cardamom chilli, cloves and all spice.

Yes, as Alec said it is a blend of middle eastern spices. Each blend can be slightly different as different regions have their own recipes - this one had a slight curry flavour to it, and was brought back from a moroccan spice seller at a market in the middle of France!
I mix it with olive oil to make a paste to marinate meat in, or DH likes to add it to mayo in sandwiches
