whats your oh/hubby doing today

whatever you call him. What is he doing today?

Mine's at work probably very cold. He had a dentist appt first thing this morning.

Dan is working today. He was meant to be working from home but there was an issue with the work computer system so he couldn't access it fully from here. So he's gone to a remote working location where he can get full access but still doesn't have to go into his office.

The best thing about that is it is closer to home so he will hopefully get home a bit earlier so we can eat and settle in to watch the football and Suits.

Mine is working today - thankfully he works in an office so he is nice and warm at least.
He handed in his notice a few weeks ago (He had to give a 3 month notice on his job) and yesterday and had to tell his small, but very loyal team that he is leaving in April, there were a few tears
The job he is going to will mean a pay cut initially, but will have more oportunities in the future than his current role, which has been getting him increasingly stressed for the last year.

My Dh doesn't like watching much sport either, just Formula 1 and occasionally Rugby.
We both like watching Darts and Boxing as well.

It's runing joke in our house that we have the sport chanel but it's not used, it's only there as it is cheaper a package with cable than if we didn't have it.

there is going to be a special sky channel for formula 1 soon but i expect you know that.

We have sky sports and wouldnt be without it.

No the Sky gave is Everton v City. Utd v Stoke is one of the featured games on MOTD though.

So DH tells me, he can't wait! I must admit I don't mind watching formula 1 or any sort of car racing myself. We went to Brands Hatch once and it was great!

mine's tinkering with the car. we went into town this morning and he finally found himself a new coat he likes so I can FINALLY get rid of his scraggy old one. he looks really smart in the new coat <3
right now I think he's trying to get the guineapig high by mixing chemical metal (an epoxy binding glue stuff) in the kitchen lol.

We've had my MIL over today, so mostly we've been entertaining her and doing stuff around the house. My Husband doesn't like sports, so he won't be watching anything like that - he'll probably sit down to watch Eastenders and Holby City with me! LOL

I'm "lucky" in that my Husband works from home running his own business - so he's always around! LOL

I'm lucky. mine does odd shifts.

LOL I must admit whenever he has to go and visit clients or do surveys that I both dread and look forward to not having him around. I get more housework done, but then I have no help with the kids and have to do the school runs by myself...

Plus I have nobody to talk to when he's not here, other than my 2 and 3 year olds. I love having Hubby home 98% of the time, I get lonely when he's not here!

today mine is cleaning. I've been at it too, we have rooms each of us hate cleaning that the other doesn't mind, so we share chores.

do you talk to your oh's much during the day?

Mine used to phone me most days from work but he has got really busy and doesnt have time to sit still, always in meetings. He travels abroad for work every so often and I hate that because the time difference means I dont get to speak to him much. Also if he is on a US government site it means mobile phones are taken off them for security reasons so he cant phone in his working day.

we generally email or speak to each other at lunchtime but other than that unless something really important has happened we don't have much contact with each other during the day.
