what are you all doing today?
Hi,
having a quick nosey on here and entered a few online comps. Was expecting rain this morning but havent woken up to any.
Off to the shops when ive finished on here. got to pop into bank i asked them to close my account down and send me a final statement havent heard anything though. I changed my bank account after years. The Santander gave me £100 for changing if anyone is interested. I am also doing shop banking, having a nosey around and getting food and buying a paper.

Re: what are you all doing today?
Got my parents coming for lunch and cuddles with the kids, both little beauties have new tricks to show off, DD has progressed to a booster seat at the table and is doing really well with her walking and DS rolled over for the first time yesterday and has been unstoppable since!
Going to make a pasta dish with courgette from the garden and litle cubes of leftover tuscan roast pork in a tomato sauce and got tea loaf for cake afters.
Then this weeks shop is being delivered this afternoon - so much easier than trailing 2 kids in a trolley round the supermarket plus takes us so long as OH works there so we know all the staff who have to stop and say hi to us and ask after kids. First shop with DS when he was 4 days took us 50 minutes for 8 items!
Chuck in all the usual washing, washing up, quick clean round and it'll be the kids bedtime before I know it!
Hope eveyone else has a good one.

Morning!
Tuesday is usually a down day for me and I don't do all that much, just the minimums to keep things ticking over. But as the man was here for a bit longer than usual I managed to get some stuff decluttered.
We have a small cupboard under the stairs but the door is blocked by the rabbit pen so we have stuff in there like cd's that we don't need to access often. We moved the pen so I could have a poke in there and found some stuff from the old house that doesn't fit with the decor of this place (we've gone from an Edwardian terrace to a 1960's cube of joy). So a mantle clock, a decorative plate and something with flowers on has gone to the charity shop, the box they were in has gone too and I have a more empty cupboard *yay*.
I've just made some scones and done some laundry. Later I have to henry about the place and move the dining table so the delivery blokes can have easy passage through the house with my new exercise bike tomorrow morning. Other than that it's just me, Martha Stewart Living and quilting for me.
Have a good day everyone.

Re: what are you all doing today?
I'm destined for a thorough kitchen clean today. Almost done to be fair but that large pile of ironing winks at me.
I have to write a list of what we need as we're off to west coast of Scotland for a short break on Friday.
Going to have ham salad sandwich for lunch, I have realised that adding a lil bit of sweet chilli sauce to the sandwhich tastes delightful!

Re: what are you all doing today?
Considering I had done nothing up until lunchtime I have :-
made a cheese potato and onion pie
unloaded, reloaded and unloaded DW
done a load of washing and hung it on the line
wiped down the kitchen sides
cleaned up all the toilet roll mess that pup did (he thinks hes an andrex dog!)
Checked online banking
Done the euro millions for tonight
Read lots of threads on MSE
Made a sandwich for lunch (im eating it now with a nice cuppa!)
Ive still got to get ready for work but I only live a 5 minute walk away so its not too bad.
Enjoy your day everyone

Re: what are you all doing today?
I'm struggling with my marking - the students had about six weeks to do a 300 word essay and they could use whatever resources they wanted, as well as getting loads of feedback from their regular class teacher and from me last week. They are terrible! Full of spelling mistakes in spite of being written in Word (they just ignore the squiggly red lines which mean spelling mistake  ) and they've completely ignored all the feedback. For example, I saw last week that one of them had written that a nice house in London is about £250,000 and people pay this back in eight years and then can live like kings for the rest of their lives. I told them that this was rubbish and that they needed to check their facts! Guess what - they didn't. Grrrrr.

Re: what are you all doing today?
Hi
Well, today has been very relaxed. I have youngest daughter at youth camp, 2nd youngest on holiday with boyfriends family, 4th youngest at same youth camp as youngest so out of the 5 still at home, I only have 2 of them moment.
My 3rd youngest has gone to work, and 6th youngest spending time with her boyfriend, so at the moment it's just me, the Rottie, and the cat :-)
Earlier I popped up to our town with my eldest, we put some flowers on my sons grave, had some lunch in a cafe, then did some shopping. I'm going to be busy later, because I have my eldest and her hubbie, one of my sons (youngest number 5) and my mum, and possibly youngest number 5's boyfriend, joining us for a roast dinner tonight making 9 of us for dinner tonight :-) My eldest is a head chef and she's doing dessert, lemon tarts :-)
Anne :-) (alias salome)

Re: what are you all doing today?
oh I like this much better easier on the eye lol
I've been at red cross all morning, just til now in fact....so I'm sat having a cuppa and catching up on here.
It doesn't look like I shall get much else done as GS has arrived with various tag-a-long friends lol
The house is a tip, and I think it will be mince for tea, as I defrosted some yesterday and made spag bol and was going to make shepherds pie tonight, but have run out of potatoes....grrrrr....

Re: what are you all doing today?
Well today, I had planned on cycling to Mr S and pick blackberries on the way but with the rain, I had a rethink and
cleaned the bathroom top to bottom
cleaned the cloakroom
hoovered
mopped
tied up the bedrooms
fed the wild birds
filled and emptied the wm
finished off the ironing
washed skirting boards
enough, out to tonight with a mate for a cheap indian and a few beers and catch up on her family, she has 4 little uns under 4 and this is her 'sane' night.
catch ya's later....

Re: what are you all doing today?
Good morning everyone,
Hope you're all well.
Today my exercise bike arrives I am very excited! Other than that there's not much doing for me today, there's a little bit of laundry to put away and I need to empty the recycling bins but other than that it's just do the minimums and then have a nice sit down. Looks like it's going to be another sunny day so it looks promising.
Hope you're all well.

That's a good idea. When I was first getting organised I was on a forum where they did a "top of the hour" thing, at the start of the hour everyone would go off and do something then come back and report what they'd achieved. It worked pretty well as there was that mixture of motivation and peer pressure to get things done.

Good morning everyone
I'm having a busy day - playing tennis this morning and again with a different group of friends tonight. I love Wednesdays
Will try to fit in a bit of boring chores stuff in between, but no promises, ok?

Re: what are you all doing today?
Busy one today.
Have made two tray bakes, vacumed the caravan, ready to go away with tomorrow. Vacumed downstairs. Done all the usual washing up, clearing away. Had breakfast. Soon going to pop in to see a friend, very quickly though, because I have to visit my dad, who has dementia, and is in a care home. Do some shopping, pop in to see mum to let her know how dad is. Get dinner, the pastor is eating with us tonight. Then it's our life group (house group) night. So it's one of those on the go days lol.
Have a blessed one yourselves.

A very busy day for you Anne!
Not so busy here, mores the pity. I like busy days. More chores (re-doing the ones I did yesterday ) for me, packing for the weekend, make an cinnamon and raisin loaf for the little people and crochet and mow the lawn/tidy garden.
