What made you smile today
I thought this might be a good idea (sticking neck out!)
many of us seem to have mental health issues of one kind or another and it sometimes seems to be easier, for me anyway, to get bogged down by the bad stuff. So I thought it might be nice to write here anything that happens/you see/say or hear that make you smile or laugh
we can then all read it and it might lift the spirits of someone whos having a bad day
Ok today my littlest dog, Meg, was running round in circles in front of me then started pouncing at me like a cat. She was over excited cos I came out of the toilet! Thing she might be a dat or a cog actually.
And to show how easy pleased i can be... I love these things
I have never managed to get them to work anywhere else so thats why im over using them here

Good idea!
Loads and loads of things - homemade scones with blackberry jelly, the rabbits (as ever) messing about and being daft, a nice compliment about my embroidery, the man coming home from work early, the prospect of a nice long drive this evening, knowing there will be cake for pudding. I also love the smilie things. Especially :farao:
Yesterday what made me smile was opening a new bottle of laundry liquid. Always exciting to me, I have no idea why.

Actually it was yesterday.... Julia's response to those who asked what she did all day....her response being along the lines of either being engaged with her toyboy, or sitting with a G&T afterwards and recovering...sounded so much better than my response, which is usually " I sit with my feet up with a cuppa and a magazine".

The 2 new build houses opposite me have gone up for sale.
Ive had a nosey at the specs and this made me giggle........... Bedroom 1 12' 5'' x 8' 9'' ( 3.78m x 2.7m) with radiator, TV aerial point, cupboard housing Ideal Logik wall-mounted gas-fired combination boiler which provides central heating and instant hot water and having pleasant outlook to the front.
Pleasant outlook is straight into my bloody bedroom!!!!
Did make me giggle though!

Re: What made you smile today
My particularly stumpy breeze block like westie.
I'm sitting with my feet up on the sofa, she was on the footstool looking out of the window.
She wanted to get up on the sofa with me but I wouldn't move my legs, I'm curled up under a throw. So she stomps to the side of the arm & revs herself up by doing something daft, she sort of rocks back & forth & does small jumps until she goes for it & propels herself into the air, clings onto the arm of the sofa & hauls herself over grunting & farting.
I shouldn't laugh at her elegance as we are both hefty great maids, elegance & lightness of foot passed us both by. I also shouldn't laugh at her because it makes her cross.

Sitting on a train with Ozzie watching him being adored and treated by all and sundry. He's so good on the train - unfortunately we have the dreaded underground at the other end :affraid:

When I was first pregnant with DD and I was running the tearoom I regularly used to open the fridge to put trays of things to cook in and open the oven to put the salad mix or margerine in!lollyfin wrote:Crisps in the fridge TP!
