Ironing - Love, Hate, Avoid?

Just for fun What's your stance on ironing?

I iron Dan's work shirts and things that need it if we're going out somewhere. Most of the stuff we wear doesn't need doing imo. I actually scrunch stuff up in the shop to see how it creases - if it looks bad I generally don't buy it. There are no linen trousers in my wardrobe

only iron if its needs to be ironed, I did iron 4 large pairs of curtains last week when damp almost killed me , I didn't iron them when I washed them before and thought the creases would drop out but they didn't.
My ironing board is a bit dodgy its lost one of the catches underneath and I have to be careful to balance it right, doesn't seem much point buying a new one for the amount I use it

I dont mind but I dont have much. I usually have the TV on at the same time.

I'm a nightmare, love to have crisply ironed clothes but hate having to iron them so always chunter while I'm doing it! Usually goes better if I have a glass of wine while I'm ironing in fact when I was pregnant it was often while I did the ironing that I had my one small glass - so could only iron once a week !!!

i actually dont mind ironing. its the amount of ironing i have i hate!!! right now i have gave up trying to keep up with it and just hang it up unironed and then organise our clothes the night before. I find the kids jeans dont need ironed as a lot of them have a ripple etc to them so not totally plain. i have a rail so i hang everything up once it comes out the dryer so not really a lot of creases in most things anyway then i just put it all away.

I don't mind it per se BUT I have to do it whilst watching TV or at least listening tom the radio it's a tedious as he'll

i actually enjoy ironing. i love washing sorting and ironing. i love taking care of my family's clothes.

what i hate is that i have to rush and do it around work.

i especially love ironing all the bedding into neat piles ready to go on beds again.

I use my iron for pressing seams, removing heat-dissolve machine embroidery film, iron on interfacing, faux-blocking acrylic knits/crochet projects or as a rather snazzy paperweight..................

but seriously, I rarely iron clothing.

I do iron i am neutral, i neither like nor dislike just another job that needs to be done.

do people leave their ironing boards up or down?

Mainly down else it would be in the way.
