It seems there are now ten times as many stay at home dads than a decade ago. Do you know any?

I know a couple, and also a couple who do part time with their wives so someone is always with the kids.

we always said if there was a viable way for me to earn more money than jim, he could be a house husband.... but there's not lol.

I knew one who was a SAHD but not by choice. his wife had just had a baby when he lost his job. Was struggling to get anything so she went back to work ASAP and he stayed at home to look after the baby.

My DH was a SAHD for a while, he couldn't work because of an accident at work and I had quite a good job so he looked after our youngest when he was born until he was around 18 months, he had recovered from his accident by then and went back to work, he enjoyed his time at home but think that when he went back to work he was ready! Now the roles are reversed and he works full time and I don't work at all, I've done my time!!

i know a couple. one started as he couldnt find work and his wife had a job and now its just the way they work it. the other couples husband lost his job so the wife went back after maternity. my dh loves his sons dearly but admits he couldnt be a house husband. he does have the boys the two full days i work.

My Hubby I suppose would be classed as a SAHD/WAHD... He's here 98-99% of the time and does a lot of the housework, cooking and childcare with me although as my health improves I'm taking over more and more on that front so he can focus more on working!
