Do you find yourself multi-tasking alot? Is multi tasking the only way to get things done or do you make mistakes if you do too much multi tasking?

Good question, I look forward to reading everyone's answers to this.

I tend to not multitask, I find it just leads to doing a number of things badly, it doesn't save time and means I'm doing a few things but not really focusing on any of them. I know lots of women like to say how wonderful they are at multitasking but I think it's a little bit of a myth.

I start one job, finish it, then start another. Like ironing, do it all in 1 go, if I kept coming back to it or going off to do other jobs, it would never get done Embarassed

Tend to agree there's some report out today about men being worse at mulitasking than women. As you say how well can you do lots of jobs at once though.

I've found I can watch tv on my laptop in the kitchen and make pastry at the same time, but if i try to crochet and watch a film I either don't take in the film or the crochet goes awry.

All the time usually 2 things at once or more if the task's are simple.

It depends largely to the extend of the tasks you undertake at one time and how often you practise multi tasking.

It's a learnt action that require practise and it is far easier for a woman than a man. There has been a lot of research done in the area of multi tasking.
