What are you up to today..its saturday yippee

i am just getting ready to go to Lidl with my mum
getting the weekend bargains
Later on I will work out to take photos of the stuff i have made over the last couple of days and put them on the crafty thread...i will use teenage power to help me

We're going to the wild boar park then to the pub to watch Bolton v United. It's what Saturdays are about!

going into town with my little girl. she has saved money she wants to spend and I need some stuff to make my vegan sister in law a birthday cake.

It's OH's first proper Saturday off (not counting last weekend as we were doing mental running around) so we've had a very lazy morning and a big all pile into bed load of cuddles. The kids are now playing nicely on the floor - long may it last - and We're having a brew. Then I need to get started making the Indian starters for tonight. We're having a community jacobs join meal in the village hallwhich is a lovely chance to get together and just chat. We have an active community group but often things involve either watching or taking part in a performance or doing a workshop so the recipe evenings are a nice chance just to chat. Might manage to fit bit of OU in too.

Had a lady for a fitting ( from road with big houses, hoping she wants more stuff doing LOL!), then a collection. then big treat my friend did my toes and fingernails in exchange for me doing hers tomorrow. Friends here for a cuppa soon and to collect a t shirt memory quilt I"ve made for their daughter, so just made scones. Then the rest of today is my own if I choose. DH going on business trip tomorrow till Thursday night late, so we will have a nice evening together I hope.

Big piece of salmon with will be done with ginger, garlic, chilli coriander and spring onions. Leftovers so less cooking for the next few days. WIll miss my Sunday morning cooking tomorrow, so trying to do some this afternoon/evening.

Well I got loads of bargains at Lidl today
I bought 6 packets of their stewing steak, 4 packets of sausages, 2 packets of square slice and a chicken and other bits and bobs
so i have spent all afternoon cooking and finishing up my projects
DD16 is delighted with the gloves (that were supposed to be mine!) I wove some ribbon through them just to make them a bit more teenager frendly
and DD12 is also pleased with her hat but we have decided to put a bow on it as well so will finish that when she comes in with it
I am hoping for a nice quiet evening to do some reading and catch up on masterchef

Well we had a lovely time at the village hall, about 18 folk came and there was a decidedly curry theme to the evening with lots of nice puddings too. DD had a lovely time and there will apparently be photos on our community website of her wearing as much pudding as she ate! There was lots of wine and giggling and think we'll do it again in January as an after christmas pick me up!
