There's a thread about slowcookers further down this page. There's a link to a slowcooking blog in the first post, the woman used her slowcooker every day for a year. There may be some recipes that would suit you if you take a look there.

Thanks, had a scan, but didn't see it, will look again. I'm hoping for some British recipes, as quite a lot of americans use 'a package of this' or a 'can of that'.

I found this too PI, I bought a lovely book of 300 SC recipes and was quite disappointed about the amount of tinned stuff that was used consequently I've not really used it much

I've noticed that too, using tins of soup and ready made sauces etc.

I love that you don't need to watch the slowcooker. It comes to the boil on its own, doesn't need stirring, doesn't burn and so on. Ace!

That is ideal for me, the downside is when it starts to smell gorgeous and you can't wait to try it, then you remember there's another 3 hours before you can.
