What are you watching on TV? What can you not wait to watch each week? What irritates you?

Talk about the telly!

For me, something so unbelievably silly but I'm liking An Idiot Abroad, 'starring' Karl Pilkington, friends of Ricky Gervais and Steven Merchant. I like a bit of escapism, a bit of pointless telly

I dont like soap operas or big brother or x factor or anything like that. Irritate me.

I like sport, films, and business programmes, and things I watch regularly are Dragons Den and Countryfile and i used to watch Who wants to be a Millionaire, The secret Millionaire and Victorian Farm when it was on. The travel channel on sky is interesting and i like old comedy like George and Mildred, on the buses and old quiz programmes.

We watch a bit more telly now that we used to.

Mainly sport (football, rugby league and ski jumping). I like any shows about design or architecture - from the trashy Colin and Justin ones to Grand Designs and The Stirling Prize. There was a good show on the other week about the Festival of Britain. Robin Day is my favourite designer so it was very exciting. We watch quite a few art shows on Sky Arts. Sky Arts show a lot of opera too so we watch them at the weekend. We only started watching it this year when I caught one by accident but I love watching them now.

We do like some trash too we like Castle, Chuck and comedies like The Office, Parks and Recreation, Community, BBC 4 showed The Night Shift an Icelandic comedy which was fab, really liked that. My total guilty pleasure show that I watch sometimes is a show called Bridezillas - it's awful but I sometimes watch it in the afternoon when I'm working on the wallhanging Embarassed We dig out old comedies on dvd too - Reggie Perrin, The Likely Lads (I wanted to be Thelma when I was little), Alan Partridge, Coupling, Father Ted and stuff like that.

Haven't seen An Idiot Abroad although I am in love with Stephen Merchant.

I dont watch much TV. I hate X factor and the like, loathe soaps and reality shows like Big Brother etc.
Am currently loving Downton Abbey, I loved Victorian Farm when it was on. I like Fringe but rarely remember it's on these days Embarassed
Will be watching the Steps Reunion show tonight but mostly because I like chuntering at the TV telling Lisa Scott Lee to put a sock in it. I mean living in Dubai now is hardly being on the poverty line. Just accept that you couldn't make it as a singer and STFU Laughing

Oops bit carried away there........

Did anyone see the Pride of Britain awards so inspirational. The girl who was knocked down and left disabled and then campaigned for a pelican crossing lives in my town. Its not to far away where it happened?

am afraid I like corrie orrie as its called in my pad, use to belong to the stan ogden appreciation society(!!) many moons ago! OH watches eastenders but am not too bothered about that. I watch An Idiot Abroad, would love to be in his shoes.... have to watch rugby union especially the world cup which is on at the mo. OH phoned this morning to say dont forget rugby 8.30 on sat morning as england v france (hope we win big time as the frogs are playing a rubbish game at the mo but they may bring on 'the butcher' and he is v v good at getting the team to play as a team so fingers x'd they dont!) so no Mr S shopping till after that. fair does..

Also like doc Martin, Countryfile, business and financial news programmes, some of the old serials like Auf Wiedershehen and to switch off and escape Steven Seagal films.

when its really orrid weather in the winter, cold, wet, miserable, we have a 'film fest' day - trash food and back to back films. We have an Auf Wiedersehen, Bourne, Godfather, days to have so far....

what irritates me is not being able to get the new episodes of my favorite shows because I REFUSE to pay for TV subsription... so I watch those free online using the grey area of the law. nobody has ever been prosecuted for streaming or downloading. it's only ever he copiers and uploaders and distributors who have been prosecuted so there's no precident for charges.

oh, and I pay for a TV license because I believe in the BBC.

as such, I'm 4 weeks ahead on Wilfred, 4 series ahead of terrestrial tv on House, a series ahead for desperate housewives and I get to see Raising Hope without paying for sky. All I need is a good, unlimited internet connection; which I have Wink I know this all makes me sound very dodgy and like I enjoy flouting the law, I don't. I just enjoy getting something for nothing.

on normal tv I like shows about social history, I have a load of them on dvd too (legitimately bought). I like to watch them while sewing. victorian kitchen, tales from the green valley etc. I also enjoy comedy, am a massive red dwarf fan; I have every episode ever made of red dwarf on dvd too.

I wont search through channels and watch any old thing just because it's on. I'm a discerning viewer. if there's nothing on, no sweat. it's DVD or music time.

My life use to be ruled by the TV. now I still watch a lot, but not as much as I used to!!

flibsey my habits have changed too. I used to have the TV on constantly, for company really. Now I never put the TV on during the day and only watch what I enjoy watching on an evening. The kids have their favourite shows then it TV switch off. I think I must have had the TV as a babysitter when I was a kid because I was up until about a year ago, glued to having the background noise in the house.

DH likes his documentaries and history programs otherwise I would not have the sky and I wouldn't even pay for TV licence, just watch online the older stuff.

we don't watch much telly to be honest, prefer to watch a documentary or film, and I never put the tv on in the daytime, I might put bbc news 24 on at 12 or 1 o'clock to catch the news but thats about it, the kids on the other hand is a different story they would sit all day if allowed with their eyes glued to the box after school, so we do try to limit them

Is that the Junior Apprentice? I've never seen that. I've seen the regular show and I really enjoy it.

We watched a good show on BBC4 I think it was about ceramics. The first two shows were the history of pottery then the development in the industrial era but this week was best because it was about pots as art as well as functional stuff. Plus Grayson Perry was on and I love love love him. There was much comedy rolling of eyes and groaning from Dan when Grayson appeared as I'm always rattling on about him Embarassed Shows like that always make me want to go out and buy more handmade and individual things when you think about the work that goes into stuff like that iykwim.

They do indeed. Other than Match of the Day I don't think we ever watch BBC1 at all anymore. I like lots of the science type shows on BBC2, especially the ones about the universe and all that cosmology stuff.

No, I haven't seen Frozen Planet yet, but I have had at least 6 people today tell me to fast forward the whale v seal death race as I'll hate it!

Other than the European football I don't think we watch anything on ITV. Last night we watched Grand Designs and something we'd recorded on Tuesday about the Codebreakers of Bletchley Park during WWII.
