Re: Car boot Sales
My friends husband makes a living out of car boot sales. Buys cheaply and then sells them on
my father in law also looks around car boot sales and charity shops for 1st and second edition books that he knows will sell, buys them cheapily and then sells to collectors or avid fans. That is his living and he's had some corking money makers.

many an antique bargain i bet has been spotted at a car boot. I remember when they first started they were small, then they got bigger and had lots of traders at them.

I've never been to one but I have spotted a couple nearby on a Sunday so I think we might give them a go.

Re: Car boot Sales
I love a good car boot sale, we're lucky enough to live near Icklesham where there is a big one on every week (albeit in a different field). We've done a few and made a little money - probably around sixty to seventy pounds, which isn't bad for just household bits we'd normally give to a charity shop. Had some very good bargains though, my son bought a brilliant bike for a pound last week - perfect size for him, he is eight and only needed a little clean up. I also always buy my Rizlas's at the car boot sale as they are about 8 for a pound, rather than 30something pence each. Good for local fruit and vegetables too!
Love them!

Re: Car boot Sales
When they first started I used them to get rid of stuff that I didn't require any more but I knew would still be useful to other's and it made me quite a bit of extra monies.
But the part of the country I now live in the only car boot sales are on a sunday morning so no use to us as we are at church on a sunday.
