The Wednesday 'What are you doing?' thread
I hope you don't mind me starting it tenerifeprincess. Up early!
Today is another day in the house. Not too bad re: housework but a few jobs to do:
Shake and vac (with neutradol) the living room carpet
finish ironing
do last nights dishes
dust the stairs and landing woodwork
tidy our bedroom
wipe over bathroom
Work out how to strip the paint off my chair.

Today I am off to work to do my last shift ever!!! After today I will be a full time homemaker! I'm so excited, not so good that I've been up half the night with a really dry cough but I'm sure they won't mind if I don't do much work!

Enjoy your final day 2boysmum!
Another day of tranquility and joy at the homestead. I've done all my minimums for the day (air and make bed, swish and swipe, wash up, laundry away etc) Need to clear the coffee table - it's full of paint charts, magazines and various other bit of my junk. Will wipe the woodwork in the living and dining areas and probably the stairs and landing. Don't think there's much else...
Have a good day!

Morning all,
not started my 'minimums' yet AlecEifel. I woke up an hour after hub had put my cuppa by the bed! Ooops! Now having a little surf, followed by brekkie, then got one dress to finish for Designer. I expect there will be more to follow. Have a lady coming to collect her alteration, but not sure what time. Maybe I should have breakfast and get my hair on.
Nothing exciting today, hub is away, so bit more freedom, tho' kids still here (21 & 18). Will try and find some housework for them to do  There's the three of us, so they can decide what to have for tea tonight...and fix it up!
Back later. Still not introduced myself.
Is juliapenguin around, not noticed her posting, hope she's OK.

I make myself do the minimums as soon as I've had my breakfast, I don't sit down again when I take my cup into the kitchen until things are done. That way if I don't do anything else all day at least the basics have been dealt with!

Re: The Wednesday 'What are you doing?' thread
I've already checked my email, done some computer/web stuff to check everything is running okay and had a quick look on the forums. Next, I'll be doing a quick run round with the vac, then a damp dust and also making sure the kitchen and bathroom look presentable before settling down to make a couple of cards that need to go off in the post today. If I get the cards finished in good time, might make a start on cleaning the inside of the windows and then finish the rest on Friday! As to food, there's stuff in the fridge that will be okay eaten cold or just needs warming up. Also need to sort out clothes and check contents of bag ready for an early start tomorrow - going to the Manchester Craft Show! Hope you all have a good day.

I've done a couple of loads of washing, last nights dinner dishes.
I want to ebay today, the last day of the month & I want to use my 100 free listings, so only 87 things to list.
I also need to cut the grass later.

Hi it's mags50 here....changed to my proper name lol...old age made me wonder who mags50 was
haven't been around for a few days...but kept checking in on you all
been very busy....having GS's to stay, DD's to feed and friends calling in, don't think i'll get alot done today as got GC here and it's a waste of time....takes me back to when their mum's were small, messing the place up as fast as you tidy up lol
It's dull and damp here today, but no doubt, they will all want to go out and play.
Hope you all have a happy day

This morning I have
done 2 loads of washing (at least 1 more load still to do)

washed up last nights pots & pans etc.
got beef stew simmering away nicely in the slow cooker
wiped down all worksurfaces in kitchen.
got shopping being delivered this afternoon.
feeling really tired now so think I might just head off to bed for an hours kip, zzzzzzzz.

I think (hope) I've done my voucher juggle properly! Just put in an Ocado order as I had a 25% off voucher and Sainsburys have sent us some £4 off a £20 spend voucher so I've spent the morning writing lists to make the most of the vouchers and the special offers. I know online shoppng helps lots of people stick to budget but I find it loads harder!

Re: The Wednesday 'What are you doing?' thread
Quiet day at home today, the car is in for the repairs it needs to get throught the MOT but fortunately it is OH's payday on Friday so when that clears out the account it won't be for long! Don't know how much I'll get done today as DS is in a clingy mood so it will have to wait til OH gets home from work then I have ironing to do and house to clean as my parents are coming to stay for a night on Friday to look after DD so we can go down southshire for a flying visit to OH's bro who has just come out of hospital after a pretty scary do with his ticker. We're only taking DS with us as don't think BIL needs a bouncy 2 year old at the mo and she also hates car journeys so a 4 hour trip either way for an overnight would just be miserable for all concerned. Last time we went down it took us 7 1/2 hours instead of 4 as we had to stop so often to get DD out of the car to walk her round and calm her down. Also promised there would be something they could just put in the oven for tea so they didn't have to mess around and try and find stuf in my kitchen. Right have to think of something nice for lunch that doesn't nvolve tomatoes as DD has her lovely new dress on and I'd like her to get a coupe of wears out of it before she gets tomato down the front of it - she's about as tidy an eater as her daddy but at least she doesn't have a goatee to catch bits!!!
