Re: So, what do you do all day
Ok, here's my basic day -
6 - 8ish Wake up, spend some time with the man before he goes to the mushroom farm.
8 - 9ish do some stuff, wash up, put dishes away, deal with rabbits, other housey things
9ish - 3 listen to radio, do stuff like banking, paperwork and other sitting down tasks (like puttering on the internet), menu plan and all that easy work. After lunch quilting, deep cleaning
3 - 4 a nice sit down or a wander to the beach.
4 - 5.30 any other housey stuff that needs to be done, cooking
5.30 party time with the return of the man
I don't do any housework in the evening or at weekends - other than washing up, making the bed and keeping the bathroom clean.

Re: So, what do you do all day
I haven't got a routine yet, and if I carry on supply teaching it's going to be hard to get a routine going as every day will be different.
Tomorrow is my first whole day without going out to work for weeks, although I've got two hours' exam marking to do.
The plan is to go to the nearest 'village' (ie bit of Manchester that used to be a village!) and read all the notices about events in the shops and library. I definitely need some real life friends who don't go out to work as well as all you lovely people.

We'll have to have a meet up for a coffee and a bun once the forum is going and there are a few more members. Although I find life easier in a smallish group.

I must admit I can talk more freely here than on MSE. The prying eyes and risk of mean trolls makes me edgy on MSE.

Know what you mean frugalicious i have been reading thrreads that have been really interesting then all of a sudden folks fighting! puts me off posting sometimes and im a bit worried i put stuff in the wrong place and get sent to the naughty corner!
my day usually works out getting up at 7 to get kids out for 7.45 then pop down to see the folks for a cuppa
then its either shopping early to miss the busy times or cleaning
I find if I dont get the housework done in the morning it doesnt get done. I have been all organised before and done charts and lists of things and days to do them and it works really well for me for a while then I slope off to my lazy ways again, got to dig those things out again I think. I treated the kids summer hols as mine to so did no more than the basics for the last 6 weeks
the afternoon is usually spent reading cook books or other books, online and trying to tweek my meal plan to keep everyone happy and me on budget not easy
then its cooking dinner and tidying up
then more reading or online I dont watch much tv, nice bath and sleep mmmmm

I get up at 06:00
Put in any washing that needs doing (on cheper rate before 08:00)
get breakfast
sort the dogs out.
Do any washing up.
2 more walks with the dogs.
Make tea.
Other than that it is whatever needs doing.

Re: So, what do you do all day
My days at the moment seem to be spontaneous lol. When the schools start back though, my mornings will be used up to do home school with my one remaining homeschooling child. All my others are finished. Tonight we worked out I've been homeschooling for 17yrs :-) Now only have two years left.

At the moment my days consist of running round taking kids to school and getting to work, trying to put washing machine and dishwasher on before I leave, go to work come home shattered, make dinner then flop out on the sofa.
After next week I'll have finished work so hope to get a bit of a routine going.

Re: So, what do you do all day
I've been off formal work for almost 4 years and still can't find a routine. DH gets up 0630. I go back to sleep until 0800-0900 (whenever dog wakes me up by barking at the postman) Walk dog. Then I seem to vegetate if I'm depressed, or fly around manically if I'm on an up.
Always make sure there is food for DH - either for when he gets home, or ready in the morning to take if he's working late.
TV Freeview is a killer. If they are showing series I like - Star Trek/JAG/NCIS, I can easily waste 5hrs a day. This is what I really must change. Also having MSE on the computer all day

Re: So, what do you do all day
i know what you mean cat im the same but have been trying to motivate myself more by saying ok I can go online for 1hr when I have say cleaned the bathroom or something
I dont watch much tv (do like NCIS tho!) and we have sky+ so anything I do want to watch I "tape" it and watch as a reward to myself and when I can get near tv for the kids
