Do you use them when you want to buy something to look for good deals? How do you find them? I havent used them alot. I just did a survey on them thats what prompted this thread. There were two out there I had never heard of. I might start looking at them more. (maybe)

I don't use them. Never even think of it. We try to shop locally and use local companies as much as we can so a comparison site wouldn't help us.

You can use them to compare deals such as insurance and savings accounts though.

Yeah I know. Not all my purchasing decisions are financial. Good service is important to me and if I pay a few quid for that then so be it.

We don't use them either as we already have an excellent house and contents insurance company and there's no point tryin out the car insurance one's as they don't cater for imported japanese cars and modified cars.

We also try to shop more locally this save's on petrol costs/bus fare's and also encourages local buisnesses.

If we have to replace an electrical item we tend to go straight to suppliers and ask what they have on offer.

Computer wise DH in the buisness any way so we tend to buy parts and he just builds a new one and as he's got a number of electronic designs published/patterned he does tend to require specialist equipment.as he does a lot of develpment work at home for his own company.
So we really don't find them all the helpful tbh.
