meh.
I have a lot of things wrong with me at any given time so I say yeah, it's ok... but it's not.

I'm in ok shape at the moment thankfully. Dan has a chronic bowel disorder so he's always at the surgery or hospital, poor lamb.

Oooh poor you, IBS is no fun. Dan has just had a flare up of his bowel thing (it's not IBS but there are some similar symptoms). It's under control for the time being - I'm happy as long as the bleeding stops.

Re: How is your Physical Health?
been coughing alot lately but slowly going. Why do coughs hang around for so long.
On another note I wanted to ask if anyone knows much about Vitamin D. Oh was saying he was reading it can help fight against cancers etc and should he have some vitamin tablets. I dont know anything about vitamin tablets are they good or are they are waste of money. Are they necessary?

Although Vit D deficiency is on the rise lots of people will have enough without taking a supplement. We can take it in through our eyes and skin via sunlight during the summer about 15-20 minutes a day is enough. It's fat soluble so the body stores it for future use. It's not available in a large range of food but it is in stuff that's commonly eaten - oily fish, eggs and fortified products like cereal.

Re: How is your Physical Health?
spoke to a doctor on Friday she said Vitamin D tabs are recommended in the winter for everyone as we dont take enough in naturaly or through our food. In fact she had just had some literature through from the dept of health from it. She said her family always take some through the winter. I will go and have a look in Superdrug and get some tomorrow i think. There was an article in the paper about it last week. She also said her husband who is also a doctor is doing a study on it at the moment so it must have been bought to the fore lately.

That's interesting as lots of other literature and what I've been told is that if you are in the sun for enough time each day enough is stored to tide us over the winter... Ah well, I'll soldier on without tablets I think.

Re: How is your Physical Health?
Hello, I am new to this thread (forum) but thought I would join if you don't mind. Well I have been frightened half to death by some of the things I have been diagnosed with but I try really hard for it not to drag me down. After 3 miscarriages I was diagnosed with Factor V Leiden Mutation a blood clotting disorder and reason for the miscarriages an inherited condition whereby my blood is thicker than it should be. Then living with this after the successful birth of my last child I thought I was having a blood clot was rushed into hospital and found to have a brain lipoma which is essentially something I have been born with, a benign tumour 10cm long (told it is shaped like fingers not a round lump) which is inoperable and very rare. I count myself very lucky as where it is located it is likely to cause fits but the only side effects I get are occasionally I have episodes of what I describe as blackouts and really bad headaches. I have always had weight issues which I try and do something about, lost a lot of weight one time then put it all back on again. Am wondering if I am peri-menopausal at the moment (soon to be 46) as my mood just before a period is a lot more emotional than it used to be. Goodness think I need to be put in a bag and shaken up I might turn out to be ok then. I am a big believer in eating "good" foods to try and help my health, at the moment it is apple cider vinegar, cayenne pepper and cocoa and garlic (not all at the same time lol), Mandy
