Re: What are you doing today Feb Chat Thread
TP - hope it goes ok. I was there yesterday, go a problem wisdom tooth so got antibiotics to take then back again next week.
Going to have a fairly quiet day today as it's the only one this week. Once OH gets back from work with some bits I shall be making tomorrow nights' dinner as we have family coming. Going to do a big lasagne with some nice Italian breads and some salads. Then have a bit of a tidy up and maybe try and work on my other essay. Managed to get my first one finished and submitted last night and it's not even due until tomorrow - boy I am so much more organised than usual! I usually end up going right to the wire.
Bath night tonight so the kids are all clean and shiny for visitors tomorrow. Right must go and stop DD 'helping' DS with his crumpet!

Hope all goes well at the dentist TP.
Today I am doing grown up things! I have spoken to my neighbour's daughter, I am going to buy a carpet and order two fence panels. Does the excitement never stop?

Thanks both. Ive got antibiotics and a special mouth wash. My gum was all inflamed and I got an infection. At one point I could hardly open my mouth wide enough to get any food in. Good way to lose weight ha. Ive been taking Ibuprofen find they do help. Hopefully it will get better now. Got some washing dry outside today its been mild.
Hope you have both had good days and anyone else reading.

Already got lots done today:
- Changed DDs bed
- 1 load of washing done
- Hoovered downstairs
- Cleaned out the dishwasher filter , and now have it on a "self clean" wash.
Later I will
- Start tidying DDs room, it looks like bomb has gone off in there.
- Create a meal plan for this week.
- Amend my online shop for later in the week (friday is payday! )

Re: What are you doing today Feb Chat Thread
Glad you're feeling better TP.
I'm just about the house today. We're in a bit of disarray due to emptying the bedroom ready for the new carpet going in. We moved everything and dismantled the bed yesterday so we didn't have to rush after tea tonight when Dan gets home. The room looks huge with nothing in! So I've wiped down the woodwork and hoovered the floor so it's ready to go. As I said on the motivational thread the new fence panels have arrived, the guys put then in the garage for me so I didn't have to manhandle them on my own (the fence, not the men). Erm general Monday tidy up and stuff going on. Going to have a look in the fridge and pantry to see what I can use up and maybe push shopping day back a bit further.
We recorded Homeland last night so we'll watch that later. Think that's it. Have a good day everyone.

Hello Everyone
Blimey TP's use it or lose it email kicked me up the bum.
Firstly a big apology. I signed up and used to post (occasionally) when the site first started but have been so busy since the baby was born. Anyway I have spent the last 8 months desperately trying to sort things to be a SAHM but alas this is not to be for three days a week.
So today I'm getting ready to go back to work tomorrow and crying buckets of tears and nursing a broken heart.
I promise to be back in a few days and join in properly again. I did used to really enjoy the chats.

Re: What are you doing today Feb Chat Thread
Been a s*d of a day today. Little friend of DD's at her therapy group had a fit today at group, really scary and worrying, hope the little mite is ok now. Fortunately DD isn't epileptic but it does bring home a little that our kids, whilst amazing, are not neuro-typical and are far more likely to have problems at one point or another. This afternoon had an assessment from the disabled child team for DD to see what support we may be eligible for as a family. Good potential outcome and the family worker was lovely but so hard going over again just what the differences are between DD and her peers, I only did all this a couple of weeks ago when I finalised DD's DLA form. Some days I really just think why us!? ... Then I pour myself a glass of vino, pick myself up and tell myself that it's because we are strong enough to cope.
DS teething at moment so he was up in the night last night, things always seem worse when you're short on sleep! Got the dentist tomorrow as well so he can look at my wisdom tooth now the infection has gone. At least I've submitted my other essay that's not even due til Friday!

Hope it goes well at the dentist SW.
Gorgeous day here, blue sky, lovely and warm. The carpet was meant to be fitted at 1pm but they came at 11.30 instead so I am now the proud owner of a carpet. I think the fitters must be new to working together as they had a massive row half way through It's atill a little bumpy in the middle but the nicer of the two guys said it was probably because of it being cold in the warehouse, if it's no better in a couple of days he'll come and re do it. Can't say fairer than that really.
We're going food shopping tonight, looking for some new recipes this afternoon as Dan went to see his specialist today and we need to tweak his diet a bit more. that's about it for me I think. Hope everyone is having a good day.

Thanks for the good wishes guys. He's had a look and is going to refer me to the hospital to have them taken out He is going to warn them that I'm not the most errrmm, confident of patients!
DD had hydro again today, her little friend from group is fine thank goodness.
Mr t has just delivered the shopping so need to think about tea now, just finish this cuppa then I'm off again to do 'stuff'.

Re: What are you doing today Feb Chat Thread
Have done a wee bit of housework still plenty to do
I've started work on some embroidery cards I'm sendng to a friend in Italy who's doing a charity stall at easter to raise funds for the family of the lady who care's for her father.
The ladies family just lost every thing they own due to big storms and Snow causing a tree falling onto their home
I have band practise in a wee bit but have to get there before the rest of the girls as I have to set up mircophone's and that kind of thing first.

Re: What are you doing today Feb Chat Thread
I have done some washing and tidying today.
I have an online shop arriving later this afternoon, can't wait to have a full fridge again. I have no butter, potatoes, fresh vegetables or milk but I did give in and buy a loaf of bread yesterday, or we would have no bread either! I can't remember the last time our stores were so low.
Nothing else planned for the day, apart from keeping DD amused of course

Re: What are you doing today Feb Chat Thread
Made my carrot cake which didnt turn out great, I think thats because the recipe called for plain flour plus bicarb and baking powder but after thinking about it both of those items have sat in my cupboard for a long time so maybe they theyre out of date. It looks fine, just that its risen into a vulcano lol
As we're icing it with cream cheese icing I will prob cut of the peak and cover it with icing. Cant bear to waste those ingredients!
