Anyone know if the stalks of sprouts you can get keep better than the loose ones?

Ah, I was wondering about this. I bought some sprouts on stalks this morning and was hoping they would keep till Christmas day.

I got some nice looking ones at Aldi today, look nicer than the ones at the farm shop and half the price. Carrots, swede, parsnips, onions and potatoes all in the cellar.

Just to report, I got the stalks of sprouts at Aldi on 22nd December, We had some on Christmas day and then some more on 27th I think. I'm sure they would have lasted a few days longer. I left them in the cellar, but it wasn't that cool in there, as the weather was mild here. Will definitely get them again,

MIL told me about sprout trees keeping better a few years ago and I never buy anything else now.

When sprouts are in season I blanch them, plunge into iced water, dry in a T-towel and freeze in small portions in freezer bags. Then cook from frozen when needed.
