I noticed a few people mentioning there pets in other posts and thought it might be nice to have a thread just about out pets.
I have two dogs, they are Lhaso apsos and they are my furry babies
I love/hate that i cant go out for 5 minutes without them running round my feet hardly letting me in the door and giving me loves like they havent seen me in days Very Happy
They are also the best destresser if i am having a bad day. they just know and come up for claps and look at me with those cute little faces and are so funny when they are playing
Not so happy with the amount of fluff everywhere especially trying to get it off the carpet or that their favorite place to sleep in the whole house is the one place they are not allowed my bed (goes back to the fluff thing)
cant wait to hear about everyone elses pets (i love animals bounce )

We have a Rottie, who is the biggest softest idiot of a dog ever lol. He is really our son's dog, who at 16, insisted he would always look after it if we let him get one, so we relented, and yes, said son now lives in Cardiff, and we have the wooffers, who is now 9yrs old. We've had him since a pup.
We also have a crazy black cat, who is more vicious than the dog, people come into the house, and don't believe me when I tell them to leave the cat alone. They insist he needs a smooth or tickle, and end up getting bit !!!!! He was badly treated by a little boy, who owned him before us. Although we got the cat at 12wks, the lad had him for 6wks of that 12, and I think the cat experienced cat hell poor mite. He was given showers so he'd like the rain. Think I have the only cat ever, who enjoys sitting in the rain Rolling Eyes He would dangle the cat from his flat balcony, then drop him, to teach him to land on all fours, and also, he climbed trees with puss, and left the poor creature at the top, so it would learn to get down. All this before the poor thing was 12wks old, He's very traumatised. Mind you, he used to play tag, and hide n seek with the children when they were younger, so I'm guessing he was trained by his last owner to do that as well lol.
Anne x

PS meant to say, the cat is about 10yrs old now.

Awwww I love guinea pigs. We had one years ago but unfortunately he died (we had had him about 4 years)

My boy in my profile pic was given to me by a friend who found him in an industrial waste bin. He was 1 of 7 but the only survivor!. He was approx 9 weeks old when we got him and is a softie although he doesnt really like strangers that come in the house.

Hes about 18 months old now and rules the roost. I think he thinks hes the man of the house and has to protect us but he is my baby and sleeps in his bean bag at the side of my bed. He doesnt moult but has to be clipped every 6 months (he hates it so we have to sedate him) but he loves having a bath or shower. He has at 1 time or another jumped into the bath with me!!

Hes a cross between a wheaten terrier and we think a jack russel but dont know for sure.

Your pig is gorgeous, I love them!

I have two houserabbits, a white & brown English called Bundy (aka the evil genius) and a big grey lop called Rooney (aka big bopper). We've had them for 2 and a bit years, we think they're about 4. We got them from a rescue, they'd been found by some children starving to death in a wood in their hutch. As a consequence they're not astoundingly friendly - especially Roo. But they get on well together and they're content doing their own thing.

aww rabbits!

I'd love a dog but allergies and a fussy landlord means we can't. cats too, but I wouldn't have one 'cos they're evil geniusses. they're plotting to bring down the human race one at a time.

L-i-T was a gorgeous furball! Have always had dogs since I left home but had to have my last one put down just before DD was born - still miss her. We're going to wait til both kids firmly on their feet and can do a couple of miles and then OH has set his heart on a springer spaniel. DD loves the guinea pigs at the farm park we go to, she can spend hours sitting stroking them, (she's actually more gentle with them than with her little bro) and she calls them ginger pe (hard g). She also has a toy one that has to go to bed with her. Think we might get her a real one in the spring, a friend of a friend rescues them and is always looking for good homes.

Aw all your pets are lovely bounce

We don't have any (unless you count the fish in the pond) but seriously giving some thought about getting a rescue dog.

Now both the girls are above the age of 3 we feel a little addition is needed. Because I am the one who is in the house all day I would be the one to train a pup etc and because I haven't had any doggy experience (DH has, a labrador and german shepherd when he lived at home) we thought a rescue would be the best thing.

We're still giving it some thought though, nothing is decided.

Do your furby friends give you company during the day? Does that sound sad? Embarassed

Hi,

I love having Bunderoo about the place during the day. When our last rabbit died the house seemed so empty. She was a real person rabbit, she loved being around people, would sit on Dan's knee and sat up on the sofa with us at night and just wanted to be with us all the time. We were going to wait to get new rabbits but I just hated being without a pet so we adopted Bunderoo a few months later.

We have 2 cats and two dogs, they are all nuts and drive me mad at times but love them really and wouldn't be without them.

Pets dont you just love em DSCF0887

This is the newest addition, she's 2 now but love this photo of her! She is nuts and only today she has stolen 2 muffins from the worktop and tried to steal the cats food!
The cats wander in and out all day but one is lazy the other will stay out all night and she is the one that brings unwanted gifts!
Our other dog is a cross collie, he is nearly 11 and spends most of his day on his back in bed.

sometimes the guineapig gets so noisy during the day and wont be comforted by food or extra hay, so he gets shoved into the pocket on my housework apron. it works, he's happy, I'm happy... since going blind he's actually been "potty trained" so he only does it in the same place in his cage, and therefore dowsn't do it in my apron lol.

Awww love all the pics and stories about your pets
My dogs are great company for me during the day and at night as well when OH is away
They go nuts if anyone comes near the house and it makes me feel a bit more secure when its just me and the kids here

I have an Ozzie. (Currently lying in the middle of the aisle on the London to Glasgow train trying to get everyone to adore him)

He's a Rough Collie and we got him as a rescue from Dog's trust. He rules the house, always knows when BD is visiting and comes and lies at my feet.

He lives life at his own pace - SLOWLY, and if he decides he's done enough walking he takes himself off and lies on the doorstep. Checking before crossing roads. Everyone in the village knows him and asks where he is if he's not with me.

Sorry to keep posting links to my blog, despite attempts to upload a pic via Host It function I can't get it work Embarassed

Anyway the delightful creature came rushing in this morning with another fatality Rolling Eyes so it was all hands on deck to catch her and get poor unfortunate bird off her before she sat upstairs and ate her in our bedroom Shocked

I have a westie called Rosie.,
https://s1013.photobucket.com/albums/af258/hermum_photos/rosie/?action=view&current=013.jpg
I don't know if that link works. If the album comes up then my boy Herbert is also in it. I think that these were taken the day before he became ill & had to go last July.
He was my baby & I still can't look at his pictures without wanting to howl.
Rosie's been with me since last May, she was a stray, I always have rescue dogs.
Westies are definite terriers not cute little fluffy things, she dispenses with rats in 2 seconds flat. Handy as unfortunately our gardens tend to get rats.
Luckily I love her as I had to book her in for spaying yesterday, £90, injections £30, Flea drops & worm tablets £18.
It will be a very lean fortnight as that only leaves £52 for a fortnight & my phone bill comes out £27 something.
I couldn't be without a dog in my life.

Aww they're both gorgeous. I know what you mean about photos though, we have random photos as our screensaver and my OH had to take off all the photos of my Meg girl after we had to let her go 2 years ago, was bout 9 months before I could handle putting a phot back up on the mantle.

I'm sure one day I'll be able to look at his pictures, it's been 14 months now since he went & the girl I lost 18 months before him took well over a year to be able to look at her pictures. I lost 3 in just over 2 years, it was really awful. Like most animal owners I'm a bit silly with my dogs.
I couldn't be without a dog in my life. So much unconditional love.
