...our home is very modest in size, but we are fortunate enough to have 3 bedrooms.

Step through the front door, and you will find yourself standing in our small hall. To the right is an overfull coat rack, and to the left is the dreaded shoe pile which I have been meaning to house in a cabinet for some time (waiting to afford the new furniture item!). At this point, if you haven't already, I will ask you to remove your shoes - this can be a major problem for some visitors but it's the way I was brought up and I really think it saves your carpets from not only staining, but wear and tear. We had some friends who used to make fun of us for having this rule, until someone traipsed dog muck onto their brand new carpet, and to this day, they have the same rule. And I always take mine off in others homes.

In front of you are the stairs, and to the left is the door to the lounge. In here, we have cream leather sofas, nest of tables, bookcase and matching TV unit. We spent a fortune on these things years ago, couldn't even dream of spending similar amounts now. There is usually a selection of DD's toys on the floor too Rolling Eyes I'm afraid I'm one of those boring neutral types when it comes to decor, but I accessorise with colour to make up for it. On the right is the door to the understair cupboard which houses everything from CD's, DVD's, toys, and Hetty hoover. Ahead are my lovely french doors leading to the kitchen diner. In here are the original white units which are starting to date somewhat (the house is 15 years old), laminate floor, oak table with leather chairs, and patio doors leading to the (small!) garden.

Back through and up the stairs the bathroom is directly ahead. It's teeny, but I guess bathrooms don't need to be big. Again, original suite, I wish I could redo these things but that won't be happening anytime soon. It's white at least though. I try and keep it tidy but it is suffering from product overload lately, my fault!

Next door is DD's room, very girly, it's supposedly a second double but realistically takes a single bed and a chest of drawers and small wardrobe. Then our room, original fitted wardrobes again in white, bed is kingsize and the room only just takes it without looking silly. Baby's room has the airing cupboard, smaller storage cupboard below (currently full of DH's books), and a cot and chest of drawers.

Just started this one for a bit of fun and a nosey really, love homes and spend a silly amount of time browsing property sites day dreaming Laughing

Love it! Thanks for taking us on the tour!

Our house was built in 1966 and is just gorgeous in its sixties way. It's a "link detached" so we're link to our neighbours by a garage.

So come through the front door (which is really to the side) and you'll be in the small porch which is painted white and has a big built in cupboard - this is in front of you, to your left is a shelf which houses an aspidistra, there are 3 pink flying ducks on the wall. Go right through the door and you're in the dining area. Here we have a fridge freezer, an ikea dining table in pale wood veneer and chairs with red seat pads, behind that there's a white gloss console with a vita stereo, a George Nelson ball clock, a German 1960's vase and a Polish 1960's ceramic rabbit. Look left and there's the kitchen and pantry, the kitchen is a very cheap and not very cheerful kitchen put in when the house was a rental. Thankfully the original brown tiles are still there as is the pantry which is... a pantry! The kitchen looks over the front garden.

Turn right, through the door and you're in the living area. At the minute it's stripped and ready to decorate but we haven't got that far left. There's also a concrete floor. Standing at the door to the left are the stairs that curve up and around, then there's the rabbit pen (7ft x 4ft 8). To the right is the people area, we have two sofas and a red glittery chair. Lots of orange things, a glass coffee table, original slate fireplace and a wooden tv unit (not ideal for this house but it's here and that's that). The back wall of the room is made up of windows which look out onto the back garden - which is the project for next year!

Upstairs, to the right is the bathroom and toilet, white suite (not original sadly) walls are tiled pink and black. Front bedroom is the spare room. Not decorated yet but it has a pale wood veneer bed, and lots of old furniture I've painted (I think there are pictures of that in my diary here) and a built in wardrobe. Main bedroom is painted "Manor house Grey" has walnute furniture and lots of black, grey and white things. My favourite things here are my Kartell Bourgie lamp and Robin Day chair.

The third bedroom is Dan's dressing room. It has a single bed, bookcases and all Dans' bits and bobs - toy cars, figures and stuff like that. It also houses a lovely copper light shade that was left here when we bought the house! I think that's that.
