Sous Vide do you think it will catch on?

This was in the paper at the weekend as well. I had never heard of it before. Apparantely it says they cook steak very well and make it tasty? They are quite expensive? Have you heard of it?

im sure i seen this idea on gordon ramsays hells kitchens a while back. im sure he called it a water bath though, but much the same thing, or maybe the chefs in the programme cooked it quicker.

Personally i doubt it will catch on, i think most people would prefer to use a slow cooker. I took some stew out the freezer with some gravy and threw it in the slow cooker on low and erm forgot about it lol. however after 14 hours (went to bed and forgot lol) cooking it was amazingly tasty and sooooo tender.

The chefs on the telly have been doing this for ages but can't see it catching on for domestic use. It's all a bit cheffy for me (and I am one Laughing ).

Soooo, like posh boil in the bag, only without the boiling. Or am I missing something?
