I think more this year. Although last year was a bit weird as we didn't have a "proper" Christmas day as we were at the hospital all day so we had no food at home. And I'll probably buy my mum a gift this year, I made one last year and that only cost me a couple of quid. Still won't be super expensive though.

why were you at the hospital all day alec eiffel? nothing serious I hope?

We'll probably spend the same as usual on the kids but as for each other, me & DH have agreed not to go overboard this year, I would rather save the money and not have presents to open for the sake of it and wait till the Jan sales and get more for our money Very Happy

We were just visiting. Dan's step dad has cancer and was in there over the festive period - he couldn't even eat his Christmas dinner, how depressing is that!

one of our grown up daughters came round today and said she wasnt buying for us this year only her sister (our youngest daughter). thats fine with us. we will just get her and her partner a little gift and buy for their daughter (our granddaughter).

i have also decided not to buy for my friends this year. i only do a couple but that is going too.

cutting back is fun lol xx
