When is your birthday? Do you like the month? How do you feel about birthdays in general? Do you like a fuss or like it quiet? Do people remember your birthday?

General chat about birthdays. Talk about birthdays here! 3545360127

Mine is April and i dont mind that (good job cos i cant change it) Smile If i wasnt in April then i think i would like a Summer birthday. I think birthdays are exciting when your younger but as you get older its just another year older, but you are glad to still be having birthdays as it means your still here. Hope that makes sense.

oh is in July
son is in January.

Yes I do have a birthday Laughing
DD is in Jan very early on bit awkward just after xmas, DS in April, OH Sept.
DD would like hers to be later in the year, so we did last year well us as a family did, she was away at uni so had a joint birthday meal out with her bro when they were both home.
Think the novelty of birthdays start to drop after you get to 21, I'm fast approaching 50 Shocked so tend to keep them low key now

My birthday is two weeks after Christmas. so no-one ever forgets. One week Christmas, following week New Year, week after that my birthday!

It's better now than when I was little. Then I used to always get joint Christmas and birthday gifts from people, everyone was partied out so didn't want to have another celebration straight away. When I became an adult it was loads better - plus I was a good excuse for all my friends to ditch their diet a week into the new year.

I don't do as much as I used to but for years I used to have fancy dress parties with a different theme. They always went down well. These days my friends live all over the world so I don't get to see them all in one place. I'm not bothered about getting older, eventually I'll die but there you go, it's the way of things.

My birthday is right after new year, when was a child I used to hate having my birthday then, hardly anyone remembered and rubbish presents as no-one had any money after christmas. Now it doesn't bother me as I don't like a fuss, just another day.
Eldest ds is May, DH is November and youngest is the day after DH!!

mine's two weeks before christmas! hubby always does something special for me, even if we're completely skint an it ends up being a dvd rented from the library and a shared box of beef chowmein from the chinese served with a shared bottle of posh beer like it was the year before last.

I love the month, I love how festive everything is around then. I even like joint birthday and xmas pressies because I feel less guilty about money being spent on me rather than elsewhere in people's lives. that said I prefer to get something from the heart rather than something randomly picked up. my sister in law made me cookies last year because first off she's vegan, and therefore knows it's hard to find good ones which are dairy free and secondly she knows I LOVE American style oatmeal raisin cookies; especially her mum's recipe... So she got out her vegan cookbook and combined the recipe basics in there with her mum's recipe (texan family) and made me some! they were lovely. I appreciate anything given with a smile too. even if it's "silly".

hubby never forgets my birthday <3

Mines in March, same as the mad march hare!

I like my birthday in March as its the time of year when spring is in the air and the earth starts to warm up (said with hope) and new life starts growing..... Am not fussed about parties but I like to go out for a nice meal and bottle of plonk. Mind you, am still waiting for my 50's celebration from earlier this year, dropped a hint about this yesterday. We couldnt celebrate OHs 60 last year, our 20th WA or my 50th so the plan is to celebrate next year (I hope).

OH is two weeks before xmas and this year he wants a meal at home.

My birthday is 2 days after christmas.
As a child I found most people either forgot or could not afford it because of christmas expenses.
Although the good thing is I can always justify asking something good as it would be a joint christmas / birthday pressie.
AND I never had to go to school or to work on my Birthday.

Mine's today! I'm planning a nice quiet day at home with the kids doing jobs and getting the house ready for Christmas guests. Going to make some mince pies and relax the diet dinner time tonight, as my dd is making a meal. I think she's going to make risotto, she's living in Italy at the moment and her Italian mummy has taught her how to do it properly. mmmmm.
