how to make fake blood
totally natural and so long as you don't overdo the colouring, it's washable too.
so, looking in asda I was struck by how expensive fake blood was, how it's generally not washable, not edible and for me kinda dangerous as I'm highly allergic to the colourings used in most brands lol...
I used knowledge gained from a programme about stage makeup a few years ago and my innate bargain hunter skills, I came up with this recipe.
2tbsp syrup... use the super cheap one 'cos it's already got a slightly darker colour to Lyle's.
2tsp natural food colouring: asda's is beetroot extract; the "blood" ends up tasting like sweet chilli sauce with no heat lol
optional is 1/2 tsp gravy browning for a slightly more realistic colour.
mix well and apply...(link is to a picture of my wrist covered in it, if squeamish don't click!)
