I'd stick to the original sorry I just find it weird Embarassed can't remember if it was a Sainsbury or Asda freebie leaflet that they give away at the tills, there was an article in one of them anyway that suggested using a new variety of purple potato to make "halloween mash" you could see my kids faces changing colour when I read it pale They probably taste the same as orange carrots but to me purple food is plums, grapes, blueberries........fruit, that kind of thing.

I've actually grown rainbow carrots and they don't taste any different they do look pretty though - OH always says that in actual fact the pale ones are closest to what carrots were originally - they were hybridised to make them more orange to please the dutch royal family donkeys years ago and it stuck!

Yeah, we've had purple carrots, they were carrots! Rabbit wouldn't eat them though, but she also wouldn't eat baby or organic ones either.
