Re: Preserving chillies
You can chop and open freeze them so you can just take out what you need or chilies dry really well either in a dehydrator or the bottom of a warm oven. You can also make a lovely chilli jelly with an apple jelly base and as much chilli as you dare! (Bear in mind they get a little stronger on keeping) You can then put a dollop of the jelly in with your cooking or it goes well on a cracker with cheese. If anye has a sweet chilli sauce recipe (like the blue dragon stuff you buy) I'd love it as I use loads of that stuff. We like it hot in our house - even DD who's only 2 1/2!

Thanks a lot, I'll probably just freeze them them (lazy old me). I'm not a fan of sweet chilli sauce but we do get through a ton of Mr Vikki's chilli jam *yum*

I tend to string mine onto bamboo skewers and dry them in my kitchen.

Cheers flibsey, good idea. These are teeny chillies so I don't know if I could skewer them but I'll do that when we get some bigger ones
