Anyone done/doing this? Would be really interested to hear of your experiences. If there's enough interest we could have a special thread a la 'Potatoes not Prozac'.

I have just started.

I might be confusing it with another one but it's protein, then protein plus certain veg then reintroduction of starchy food I think, is that the one?

If so I'd starve to death as I think the only veggie protein on the list is tofu so it's not for me. Let us know how you get on, I'd be really interested to hear your experience of it. Best of luck.

Oh cool, thanks. I'll have a poke around and see what I can see and learn a bit more about it.

I have heard of it but not done it. My doctor mentioned it to me once. I think she was doing it. Must be good then.

This article is on the Dukan diet website and suggests that 2tbsp of lentils plus quorn ,seitan or tvp are allowed during the Attack phase. Eggs are also an option.

I like lentils and can cope with seitan but tvp and quorn both make me ill. So there is some variety for non-meat eaters which is better than many high protein/low carb plans.

So far so good. Meal out last night wasn't too difficult. I changed my starter from the Meze, which would be rather oily, to the koftas in tomato sauce. just ate the koftas. Then some grilled chicken. Not supposed to have veg, but I did have a few bits. Diet coke and lots of sparkling water and a great time with the girls from choir.

Made a big pan of turkey couscous, dh had the 'stuff' with some couscous and I had some turkey meat for a snack before I went out. Hub loves couscous, so he felt treated. Actually, I did it in my new slow cooker. I had one years ago, gave it to SIL, but decided I wanted another go.

I got a mega good deal at a butcher yesterday. I asked for turkey legs, got 3 at £0.75 each. The two small ones weighed 600g without the skin and the big one was 1kg. Even minus the bone and tendons that you get in turkey, that was a heck of a lot of meat for £2.25!

Still going on OK with Dukan, would be nice to have some company. If you're lurking, then do join in, it's lonely dieting on your own!

Been eating a lot of turkey meat, it's OK. Oatbran is recommended every day and I"m enjoying a pancake of the for breakfast with yoghurt.

Well, got into Hull this morning off the overnight ferry. Holiday was great, I did well foodwise until the weekend. Sat and Sun were not too good! Staying with people you don't like to make a fuss! Then we ate on the ferry last night. At least I shared the chocolate cake and icecream with dh! I had no alcohol all the time we were away.

Had breakfast at mum and dad's in Hull before heading west. I had proper breakfast and have since had proper lunch and snack, so hoping that an early start back on the programme will help. I don't know if I've lost any weight since I went away. Was hoping I could get back on track before I weigh myself but I'm not sure I can stand the suspense.

Friend has lost a stone in 3 weeks, but she does have more to lose than me. I shall be really pleased if I stayed the same having been away.

Hi PI,

Glad you had a good holiday and it sounds like you did really well not losing your way the whole time with the foodplan too. Good to have you back!

Well, dunno if it's an accurate representation, but I'm now down about another kg. I think it's about 3 in all. I've had 12 days away during that time, so quite pleased really. Would like another couple off by Christmas if possible. Now need to shop for some appropriate food!

That's good going, especially with the holiday during that time. You should be pleased with yourself.

It is much slower now, but I did have a few hiccups last week. I baked twice (first time brownies and flapjack to take to dance comp and second it was 2 lots of biscuits for DH to take to work, as he was leaving) which all needed to be quality controlled LOL!

Total is now 4.4kg, almost 10lb. Will be 5 weeks on Thursday since I started. I would still like to have 5kg off by Christmas, which was my original goal.

Going to the States in February, which could be lethal. If I could get a few more kg off by then it would be good, 4kg, then that would leave about 3-4 kg more. Hmm, but then there's Christmas in the way too!

Wooooop! made my first goal of 5kg before Christmas. In fact this morning's weigh-in I was 5.2kg, about 11lb.

I have to say, this has been the most successful weight loss plan I have ever used. Much better than when I was on prescribed medication.

Not sure how I'm going to cope with the Christmas break, but I think the watch words are 'damage limitation'.
