Good work on the loses!

I lost just 1lb this and pretty damn lucky to have lost that to be honest. Cannot get out of this rut no matter how hard I try (sometimes I don't try very hard)

Read the first 40 pages of Potatoes Not Prozac and by gosh it sounds like me. I'm upto the part where it says it's nothing to do with lack of willpower, it's an addiction and it's ruining and ruling my life. Sounds like me, I want to lose weight, I want to improve my mood and health like you wouldn't believe but I just get on this path to ruin. It feels out of my control.

The questions they ask I ticked them all, have you lied/hidden sweet treats, eaten your kids in secret, drove to quieter place in car park and stuffed sweet treats. I've done them all. Embarassed

I still don't know what the stages are to overcome it but will read on tonight.

Yay. Down to 11st 5 3/4. So 11st 6. Going in the right direction and I think my body has had a bit of a shock this week. That time of the month which never helps.

I did a LBT class Monday, and Zumba on Tuesday. Couldn't walk Wednesday so took a gentle treadmill stroll Thursday. Today hoping to get into another Zumba class or do some treadmill work. Then Body Pump tomorrow.

Diet going really well. 1wk completely abstinent. Eating low fat and home cooked. DH is on board so no longer questioning why we are eating different things or he gets presented with baked fish Very Happy

Hope everyone else had a good week.

That also means you're no heavier! So not all bad news, these things happen, it's a long process you're on the right track.

Hi all. Hope you had a good weight loss week.

Down to 11st 2 1/2. Yay. Been good with food and exercise. Not so great with the drink, but keeping a handle on it. Have to decide now how I'm going to treat myself when I hit 11stone.

Well done both. I agree Cat, treats are a good reward and motivator when you hit certain milestones.

My little goal treat is a new pair of jeans when I get to 12 stone. A fair few pounds to go yet.

Just had a text of my sis. They're starting a Zumba class in her local community centre. It's a 5-10 min drive for me after DH gets in from work. At £3 a week that's £12 a month that I don't want to spend but it's exercise, getting me out and allowing me 'me' time. I might not like but I'm hoping I do as exercise is not enjoyable for me. I know that by doing zumba on the wii you can't help but giggle so hopefully i'll like it.

Need some tracksuit bottoms or something... size 16 girl here with big boobie woobies - it aint gunna be pretty!

froogs Go for it. Zumba has been such a kuta for me. Everyone is so busy keeping up with the dancing that no one has the time to worry about how you look.. Its brilliant.

On the scales this morning and I stayed the same. It's ok, I'm happy with that because 1) I didn't put on for once and 2) I feel calm and steady in what I'm doing.

I'm eating 1400 calories a day and have done all week. I can cope just fine on that and actually find it easy.

I am going to go down to 1350 (I know 50 off isn't much but I like that I can cope and have some control and willpower to do it) and increase the amount of exercise I do, slightly. Zumba on Monday so I hope that helps.

Anyway, for once I'm not manic about and feel ok and ontop of things.

that sounds really positive froogs. I think we get a kind of calmness when we know we're doing what's right for us.

Welcome Teresa bounce It definitely helps having friends here.

I'm just completing dinner then heading up to get changed for my first Zumba class tonight. It's the first class so hopefully everyone will be just as clueless as me. I'm going with my sister and her friend so I have company.

I went to Sports Direct on Sat and bought 3/4 leg elasticated sweat bottoms for £4 and have a vest already. DH said to me "are you sure you'll be comfortable in those, get something better if you like" I replied £4 will do. I look like a heap anyway - what I wear won't make a difference and the cheeky so-and-so agreed lol Just as well I know him!

So we agreed, when I get to 11 stone I will treat myself to something a bit more fancy. I hope I enjoy this I really do. Wish me luck! Rolling Eyes

I loved zumba! I am so proud that I worked my bottom off for an hour without quitting. I got half way through and thought I can't do this, I couldn't cope with the pace but somehow my body just got used to it. I have a lot to learn re: the steps but I enjoyed it never the less.

Roll on next week and until then I won't be ruining all my hard work with silly eating.

i always say oh i need to go but once the time comes i just really cant be bothered at night Rolling Eyes

right now i use the car to take ds to nursery as we are always running late, but the mile walk each way would do me good!

i started off so well yesterday but then we were out and ended up having fish and chips, however im not going to beat myself up about it, today is a new day
