Re: Pets dont you just love em
Aww I love all the cute pictures. I love animals but do not have any at present. We were waiting until we move out to get any more. I have had birds, rabbits, hamsters, fish and more recently rats who sadly died of old age a year ago. Also had a cat since I was about 11 who we had to have put to sleep a year and a half ago through heart and kidney failure.
I can't wait to get dogs though we want two springers! And I would get rats again though I know most people dislike them they are very intelligent and don't deserve the bad rep they always get.
If I could I would live on a farm and have so many animals, all the above and chickens, ducks, sheep, goats, horses the list goes on. And my partner is the same as well. Sadly as we don't have our own farm we will have to limit what we have.

Hi Katie,
I don't think I'd have them myself but I do think rats are cute. A friend of mind has some and they're so friendly, not to mention nosey! They have such gorgeous little eyes
People always ask us if we'll get a dog next, we both grew up with dogs and MIL is involved with Springer rescue but I love bunnies. they can't vomit, don't need to go for walk, don't make much sound and are just fantastic even though they wreck the house!

Nice Bitsy, I've got one that's 8 now, they are awful chewers at that age they grow pretty quick too, will have to post a pic of mine later.
Enjoy him, does he have a name yet?

It's a girl and she's called Luna
Hard work, especially since the kids are hyper excited about her. Think I should keep the dog and get rid of the kids least she'll never answer back

Re: Pets dont you just love em
We had to have our Rottie put down a few weeks ago :-( Broke my heart. He had an aggressive tuma in his leg bone. Only alternative was an amputation, which probably wouldn't do any good, due to risk of it spreading elsewhere. As he was coming up for 10,I thought it was mean to put him through all that, just for the sake of keeping him a little bit longer. He would have been unhappy with three legs. Also he would have needed lots of vet visits, and he hated vets, so decided, as he was sleeping lovely under sedation, that the kindest thing to do was to let him go, before he woke up. It was a horrible decision to make.
We miss him loads :-( Just the cat, (and children !!!!) now.

Thank you :-) it's still strange without him, though the cat doesn't seem to upset about it lol. Got lovely memories though and he gave us a lot of love bless him :-)
