Not much going on today. I'm working on the wallhanging now and probably will on and off all day. Going to have a putter through some blogs and do a few bits and bobs about the house. Nothing planned though.

Another place very wet and windy here too. Still got my kiddiwinkles, eldest goes back tomorrow, youngest starts nursery next week.
Going to tackle the bedrooms today. Downstairs is pretty much clean and tidy, I worked on prettying the hallway, stairs and landing. That freeby white chair has been put in the porch for now. There's too much to do and too much to spend to get that nitromors stuff so will keep it white... for now - oh my passion for natural wood is too much!
HAve a lovely day everyone and any negative or stressy thoughts in your heads - flap them right away!x

Re: Tuesday September 6th
Well, it's soooo squally here today, so no real laundry I think, just the ironing.
I've just waved the troops off to London for a couple of days, they're going to see a prom tonight they hope, stay over with my auntie and then do something tomorrow. Consequence... I have a couple of days to get as I want.
No need to cook as there are sufficient leftovers for a couple of days. I'm sure there's something specific I should be doing, but at the moment can't remember what it is.
However:
- make a dint in the housework
-try and clear our front room dumping ground a bit
- make sense of my fabric stash, which is all over the place but destined for under the spare bed.
-make a pressing board, got the materials already
- maybe start on a sewing job for someone.
-finish my blouse.
OK, maybe that is 2 days worth of jobs LOL!

Re: Tuesday September 6th
windy but the rain has ran away in suffolk and I have the back door and all the windows open...... heres why....
I have made a vat of chicken and veg soup, surprised myself on how big its got! and chicken curry hopefully enough for two days, got a loaf in the bm and have yogurt to make next. the curry smells lovely and my neighbours sometimes say 'curry tonight then...' yea I make a lot of currys, cos we like em. Spent a lot of time out in India and you get use to having curry for brekkie....
a pile of ironing to do, my least favourite job
the patio to brush up after the wind drops
cycle to Mr s for some extra veggies
do some photography for ebay listings
clean the floors and start packing away summer gear and replace with winter clothing..

Very windy here as well.
Did a mum's the taxi run this morning. Two daughters not wanting to face the wind and the rain lol.
Schooling daughter is sat doing her school work. I have a chicken cooking in the oven, ready to have cold with some ham and egg for those who want one, and chips and beans :-) later for dinner. Will have some corned beef as well, which reminds me I need to open the tin and pop the corned beef in the fridge, so I can slice it lol.
Meeting up with a couple of friends later.
That's about it really.
Have a good day yourselves.

Wet miserable and horrid here. But I'm a jolly soul, my approved food order just arrived and my supermarket shop is coming after lunch so no need to leave the house and by this afternoon I'll have overflowing cupboards. Have just dragged wee one number one out of bed so she is sat on the potty in front of me as I type with a pout on as she didn't want to get up! She decided to get out of bed last night and bang until daddy took her downstairs while I was out at my committee meeting, grrrr, so was greeted by her best 'I'm so sweet and innocent' face when I got back at 9.30! Quick cuddle and straight back to bed for you missy! So it was about 10 before she got to sleep - she's never very keen on mornings at the best of times. Can hear little man stirring now (he got up for a bottle at 6 so has an excuse) so must go. Have a good one. X

Re: Tuesday September 6th
Another place with wet and windy weather The boys are back in school/college today it was lovely getting up early and having lots of my little jobs done by 9am I made them scrambled eggs on toast for breakfast as the weather was so awful. Bless 'em .....
Other jobs today have been to make a quiche for tea tonight, will serve with wedges and veg, 3 x loads of washing, some ironing and a clean round of the bathroom and kitchen. Will push the hoover round shortly then I can sit down and carry on with my crochet afghan this afternoon. It's lots of big oblongs of treble stitch in Aran wool in hues of lilac, purple and blues. It'll be for our bed when it's finished. Got another 13 oblongs to crochet then will set about putting them altogether :affraid:
Have good days everyone & keep warm and dry!

Re: Tuesday September 6th
Decided to do something with all the veg we bought this week. So I have a bns and chickpea stew in the s/c, the rest of the bns, some sweet potatoes, pepper, mushrooms, courgettes, onions and celeriac are roasting away. I've cooked a big batch of chickpeas to stick in the freezer.
The menu plan for the rest of the week is -
tonight shepherdess pie (didn't have it last night)
Wed - bns and chickpea stew
Thu - roast veg orzotto w v-pud
Fri - l/o v-pud w potato cakes, mushrooms and beans
Sat - jambalaya
Sun - roast veg pasta bake
Extra curry, stew and roast veg will go into the freezer.
I've also swept up most of the hay the buns have deposited this morning and had a general whizz round picking up and clearing stuff.
